Luna AI Chatbox wrapped Life Expo 2026 in Sydney

Over the past two days, our team joined Life Expo 2026 in Sydney, a free, family-friendly community expo organised by CanCare Centre (康恩關懷中心) and co-organised by the Australian Nursing Home Foundation (ANHF).

Held over Friday 21st and Saturday 22nd of August, Life Expo brought together more than 30 local and international exhibitors focused on health, aged care, end-of-life support, and smart-home products for seniors and their families. We're grateful to the CanCare Centre team for hosting such a thoughtful, well-organised event - and to ANHF and every partner who made it possible.

At our booth, we showed the Luna AI Chatbox, the voice-first companion that speaks in 38 languages, keeps 30-day memories, and helps older adults with everyday conversation, weather, and gentle reminders. Across the two days, we spoke with hundreds of seniors, families, and community members. The response was clear: there is real, growing demand for warm, patient, voice-first technology that respects how older adults actually live.

A few things stood out from the conversations we had:

- Loneliness is not abstract. Many visitors live alone, far from adult children who are working or raising their own families. They are not looking for entertainment, they are looking for company, in their own language, on their own terms.

- Family want safety nets, not surveillance. Family members visiting our booth often asked the same first question: "Does it help them call for help?" Our existing SOS option, already available as an add-on skill, answered that need directly.

- "Speak in my language" matters more than features. Visitors were visibly relieved when we demonstrated Cantonese, Mandarin, Hakka, Vietnamese, and Thai as day-one options. Tone, dialect, and natural pace mattered more than any spec sheet.

We're coming home with three things:

1. A long list of pilot interest from families across Sydney and Melbourne

2. Concrete partnership conversations with ANHF and several aged-care wellness centres on the floor

3. A renewed sense of what older customers actually want — quieter design, fewer buttons, warmer voices
